I want to be the best assistant you've ever had!
Dallas, TX • 08/21/2007
Dear prospective employer,
My name is Adrienne. I'm 24, and I live in North Dallas in the Preston & Beltline area. I am dependable and I have reliable transportation. I am currently looking for a new position as an Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, or Secretary and I have 7 years of office experience.
I would really like to be an Administrative Assistant. I don't have any previous experience under that specific title, however, I'm certain that I would be good at it, if I were given the opportunity for the following reasons:
1) I genuinely like office work. I like forms, and copies, phones, and spreadsheets. Since I enjoy doing these things, you can expect that I will look forward to coming in everyday, and I will be happy to be at work.
2) I am organized. At home, there is a place for everything and everything is in its place. At work, I apply the same principals. I'm careful when filing, and my desk is always straight and in order.
3) I have been told I have a pleasant phone voice, and I am personable. I enjoy talking to new people.
4) It is important to me to be working where I am needed. The most rewarding position I have held was working for Electra-Tek, because I was their right hand girl. It was nice to be depended upon. I often worked alone in the office, without supervision, and I really liked that they knew that I was trustworthy.
5) I am reliable. You can expect me to be to work every day, on time. If something should come up that prevents me from doing so, I always call to let the appropriate person know.
6) I am eager to learn new things. Because I truly want to be an Administrative Assistant, you can be assured that I will take any training seriously. I take notes and ask questions. I am also very bright and pick up on things quickly.
7) Finally, as I hope I have demonstrated here, I am well-spoken, meticulous, and a careful speller. I have a great eye for detail. I understand that it is important to be professional at all times in business. I am always sure to read over my work and spell check before ever sending it out.
I know that there are people out there with more experience, but, to me, the position would be more than just a job. I feel people like me are harder to find.
Thank you for taking the time to read,
Adrienne Hood
