The Engineer, Database will help with creating and maintaining database and schema design as well as helping to ensure consistent system availability and data integrity.





Responsibilities:





· Help ensure optimum uptime of databases through appropriate design and maintenance.


· Implement design vision, including physical implementation of data schemas on SQL Server.


· Review/development of stored procedures using T-SQL under SQL Server.


· Structured management of schema and stored procedure deployment.


· Contribution to optimization, tuning, replication, distribution and normalization of the architectures.


· Provide expert assistance to the other application team members in such areas as high performance design, code reviews, naming standards and all other aspects of SQL Server.


· All other duties as assigned.





Requirements:





· BS or BA or equivalent experience required.


· 3+ years experience in a Database Development capacity working heavily with SQL Server.


· 4+ years programming experience.


· Proven track record of architecting effective, scalable, distributed, high performance software and/or e-business systems.


· Demonstrated business and technical analysis experience.


· Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.


· Must be a self-starter and able to work in a team environment.


· Demonstrable history of resourcefulness and attention to business detail.
