I am currently working on an opportunity for one of my client's in the DFW area. They are seeking a QA/Tester with a minimum of 5 years hands-on black box and/or functional testing covering the complete testing process: requirements review, use case review, test plan creation, test case construction, test case execution, test results documentation. The position will mainly focus on CLIENT/SERVER application testing on a WINDOWS platform, so skills in this area are essential. A background in only web testing will not be a match for this position, however some web testing is helpful.



Experience with multi-tier, database-intensive enterprise applications, including client/server applications and web apps, but the focus is on the client/server side. Need to be able to identify functional defects and write clear descriptions of the defect with information how to reproduce it.



A background with the following tools and operating systems is required: Windows environments: 2000, 2003 Server, 2000 Pro, XP; Test Partner; Clearquest or TestTrack; MS Office; creating and running SQL queries; knowledge and experience in a QA methodologies, processes and best practices.
