Services:
1. Engineering custom Web Infrastructure solutions
2. Integrate custom software components into the environment
3. Provide 3rd Level Production Infrastructure support
4. Provide support for a Development Environment that we own that allows customers the ability to develop and test their applications before they are moved into production
Role Overview:
• Gathering customer requirements and generating a detail estimate
• Design and engineer custom Web Infrastructure solutions
• Provide Operational support for the Pre-Production and Production Environments.
• Developing and communicating Infrastructure Standards to the Application Developers, vendors, and the GM Customer
• Provide Operational support for the Development Environment that we own.
• Design and engineer Template/Standard solutions that are used as is without modifications. Example: A standard Weblogic build that can be deployed as is for all sites within the environment.
Unique Requirements:
• On call responsibility (may be required to be part of an on call rotation; outside of rotation contact occasionally outside of regular business hours)
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Required to work within the limits of the BPA
SKILLS
Technical Skills and Experiences:
Prerequisites: (applicant must meet all to qualify.)
• Meets degree educational requirements or has equivalent work experience.
• At least four years of hands on experience with web technology
• Platforms: Solaris, HP-UX, AIX
• Meets web infrastructure-engineering skills in the following areas:
o Web Server (Sun One, iPlanet, etc) ( 3 years of experience)
o Knowledge in Oracle Database
o Knowledge in Sun Java Enterprise Server
o Knowledge in BEA WebLogic
o Solid understanding in Networks, Firewalls, Routers, IP Filters
o Knowledge in BigIP/F5 is a plus
o Knowledge in J2EE
o Knowledge in UNIX Scripting
• Have at least three years of experience and a solid understanding of the UNIX environment.
• Unix System Administration I and II Certifications is a plus
• Solid skills in using MS Project is a plus

• Has strong technical project leadership capabilities and be able to deal with complex issues with customers and vendors.
• Prior experience with application or infrastructure development projects
• Ability to manage projects within scope of responsibility.
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Capable of implement projects using ISO, SLC, and PM2.
• Ability to interact with customers regarding business and technical information
• Demonstrates strong team building skills.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Project
• Strong estimating skills
• Skills in writing service agreements
• Ability to design, engineer, implement solutions
• Demonstrate strong initiative to learn with minimal direction
• Self starter
• Keeps people informed through the use of appropriate methods and media
• Shares relevant or useful information in a timely man
