Qualifying candidates will have:
•At least 10 years of experience in progressively responsible positions in large, national or regional systems that are similar in size and complexity to this organization, both in terms of revenues, number of facilities, bed capacity, and market competitiveness.
•A Master’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing or related field is required; Doctorate is strongly preferred.
•Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and be licensed (or be eligible for licensure) as a registered professional nurse in the State of Texas.
•Both for-profit and non-profit background will be considered, however, experience in a faith-based system is strongly preferred.
•Prior experience in a community hospital with academic ties is also strongly preferred.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Develop and articulate a vision and strategic direction for the practice of nursing and patient and family satisfaction in all enterprise clinical settings.
•Monitors key satisfaction metrics (i.e. physician, patient and family), identifies opportunities for improvement and implements strategies to ensure key stakeholder support, confidence and satisfaction.
•In partnership with entity Chief Nursing Officers directs the strategic development, deployment, continuity, consistency and delivery of nursing care across the organization. Act as coach and mentor, while promoting professional growth and accountability within Nursing Leadership staff, students and colleagues in order to promote and build the pipeline of future healthcare professionals.
