The Urschel Recovery Science Institute treatment program is an empirically based program specifically developed to treat drug and alcohol dependent clients through various types of outpatient treatment. We offer several outpatient withdrawal stabilization (detoxification) treatment plans to serve our patients who do not require hospitalization. They are seen in their homes, with their families, conducting their daily routines while withdrawing from alcohol and/or drug dependency.
The Urschel Recovery Science Institute of Dallas is currently searching for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant with addiction knowledge and experience to join an elite team of medical professionals. This position requires someone with an “entrepreneurial and providing client service excellence” mindset, who can work with and relate to influential and high profile entrepreneurs and professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certificate and registration to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
Current ACLS certification from American Heart Association or will obtain within 30 days of hire
DUTIES:
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide primary healthcare, working in collaboration with licensed physicians/addiction psychiatrists and addiction therapists. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Medication Management/Education
• Crisis Intervention
• Treatment Planning/Case Management
• Individual and group evidence based interventions
• Orders appropriate laboratory work and diagnostic procedures
• Consults with MD, Psychiatrist, Therapist and Medical Director
• Diagnose Psychiatric Conditions
• Conducts Psychiatric evaluations by assessing physical and psychological
status of patients by means of interview, health history and physical
examination.
• Participates in both inpatient/outpatient aspects of recovery programs
The above duties are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols for the psychiatry specialty and agreed upon in advance by you and the physician of record.
