Editor, B2B Magazine

Wanted: A dynamic editor to develop, relaunch and grow a targeted national healthcare industry magazine. The editor will work closely with the publisher and editorial director to define editorial focus, design and content.
Other responsbilities include:
-Help develop and execute editorial calendar, media kit and other promotional materials.
-Recruit, assign and supervise freelance writers and columnists.
-Speak at industry educational events and panel discussions/roundtables.
-Work closely with sales, editorial and online team, art director and production manager to produce high-quality content in a timely fashion.
-Supervise art director and editorial staff.
-Create content for supportive e-newsletters.
-Collaborate with Web editor to grow and develop editorial vision of Web site.
-Work with publisher to develop and execute ideas for future growth.
Job requirements:
-Minimum three years professional experience on a print B2B or consumer magazine staff as the lead editor.
-Strong feature and news writing skills; strong copy editing, organizational and communication skills.
-The dynamic energy and editorial vision to champion the magazine at industry functions; travel required.
Complementary skills: Healthcare industry knowledge/experience, trade publishing/production experience, photography skills, magazine launch experience, HTML coding knowledge. Four-year degree in English writing, communications (print) or journalism (print) preferred.
