American Physician Housecalls, (APH), is a Dallas-based, Physician housecall practice providing primary health care services to Medicare patients in their home, senior apartment, assisted living, or congregated-living area. Our team of healthcare professionals utilize state of the art technology to bring not only EMR (electronic medical records), but medical and diagnostic testing to the comfort and convenience of the patients home. APH has been in business for two years and now have a full staff of 85+ employees. We have 7 physicians, 3 Podiatrist, 14 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Asst, 2 Physical Therapist and 1 Psychologist and a full staff of Nurses, schedulers, unit clerks, transcriptionist and more. We offer our field providers, the support needed to do there best.

Phlebotomist



Phlebotomists perform the collection of blood and sweat specimens and maintain specimen identity and analytical integrity during specimen collection and transport. These duties are performed within various time constraints according to ordering priority. Correct amounts of specimen must be drawn into the proper collection containers while respecting the maximum amount of blood that can be collected for the size of the patient.



Requirements

At least 1yr experience preferred.
Must have geriatric phlebotomy experience,
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be flexible.
Must be motivated self-starter.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Detailed-oriented and accurate.
Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
Ability to work well with others and be a highly effective team player.
Act as a role model and mentor for employees and trainees.
Must be dependable

Education Requirements: High School graduate and/or GED. The successful completion of formal phlebotomy course (junior college level) or successful completion of a lab liaison training program or equivalent is preferred. You must have a minimum of (1) year phlebotomy experience. Certification Preferred.
