Executive Profile:

Gary offers more than 23 years of accomplishment and success in highly complex sales environments, driving new business development, account management and growth, and providing team leadership. A key strategic and tactical contributor, Gary has generated over $150M in new and profitable sales revenue for his employers, and has managed the growth of accounts to yield over $500M in revenue to his employer’s top line. Due to the complexity of products and services sold during his career, he has developed exceptional skills in strategic and consultative selling to complement very strong people skills.

Beginning his career in the Semiconductor industry, Gary demonstrated exceptional drive from the start, turning a list of 3rd and 4th tier accounts into the # 1 account base in North Texas. Inheriting a little known division of Rockwell as a target account, Gary grew his sales with this customer from less than $100,000 to over $25M annually. He produced an additional $10M annually with other customers, was the top sales performer for Quicklogic, the National Salesman of the Year for Yamaha LSI, the Regional Salesman of the year for Zilog, and winner of the first-ever SiGe ASIC design for IBM Microelectronics in the Central Region.

Leveraging his knowledge of product design and engineering, Gary expanded his skills by moving to Flextronics Design Services and acquiring a broad exposure to the entire product life cycle, from concept and design, through manufacturing and after-market services. During this time, he displayed creative and strategic thinking by proposing, initiating, and implementing a dramatically different sales approach. Hiring Manufacturer’s Reps, sales coverage and revenue increased dramatically (+50% revenue bookings in the first year), with a reduction in average cost of sales. Gary also managed the 10-person sales team and developed training programs in product knowledge, positioning, and selling strategies. Major customer wins produced a $20M business pipeline with accounts such as Texas Instruments and Dell Computer.

Most recently, Gary moved to enhance his knowledge of the manufacturing process with Solectron. Doing both new business development as well as account management, Gary closed major deals worth in excess of $100M, while gaining valuable knowledge of lean manufacturing, supply chain and logistics services. Working internationally, Gary coordinated efforts and led teams in China, Mexico and Romania. With contract and P&L responsibility at the account level, Gary refined his contract negotiation skills and added to an already solid understanding of financial management.

Throughout his career Gary’s experience has spanned multiple disciplines, including national and international sales, product design, engineering, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, contracts, and P&L management. His expertise includes highly technical sales as well as complex high value service sales ($50M) requiring selling throughout the customer organization including VP and C-level. His people skills allow him to sell in any environment.

Gary earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
